it's a little university press book i had to get it by mail order but it was probable to get it and. some of it was technically and way over my yet. luckily it had a nice introduction by warren weaver then rockefeller university who had written shannon for scientific american. and shannon himself was riding in a way that is any of us can read to some extent if you're willing to skip the equations every so often he says something that makes a little bell go off in your head and the bell that goes off says here's the modern world being born. this is really the kind of thinking that leads to the way every computer scientist thinks today and not just computer scientists but all of us who use these machines. the knowledge is filtered down to us and when we understand recorded music on your laptop or your ipad is in a way the same species of things as the words recorded in an ebook or a message that is being sent over twitter of these things are related to one another that's due to this book by shannon. so i carried it around for awhile and wrote these other books and finally i guess it feels as though this is the b
