ted cruz: well thank you.ohn: some people say you are better than others, so tell us about your humor. these think your jokes killed? ted cruz: i got to say that a lot of republicans take themselves too seriously. if you cannot laugh and cannot enjoy yourself, life is too short not to have fun. john: a lot of people are talking about jeb bush, and not many people think that he is a super-conservative guy. can you talk about the ways in which isn't think governor bush might fall short in terms of true conservativism? john: talk about your -- mark: talk about your innermost thoughts on this. ted cruz: i like him as a governor and i like cam and respect him as a family member -- as a family man. the primary voters have an opportunity to look someone in the eye. it starts off in relatively small states like iowa, new hampshire, and south carolina. there is an old joke about if you would vote for someone, and you would say, i have only met him five times. if we go to the presidential cycle and say go to california

that it was written by his brother, ted. working with the information provided by david kaczynski, law enforcement was able to obtain a search warrant for a cabin occupied by ted kaczynski and an area near lincoln, montana. law enforcement had enough to arrest ted kaczynski, and the decision was made by the united states department of justice to bring the prosecution here in the eastern district of california. the decision was also made to ask for the death penalty. the defendant was indicted in april of 1996, and the trial began in the courtroom of the united states district in 1997. after a lengthy jury process in january 1998, the defendant simply -- suddenly agreed to plead guilty in exchange for a sentence of life in prison without parole. in our panel discussion this evening, we hope to discuss among other things how the fbi managed the investigation of such series crimes, expanding over such a lengthy. of time and such a vast geographical area. we were also discussed the effect that those crimes had on their victims.

good for ted cruz.as been half getting his way as a way of trying to block the president's nomination, get the president to not implement that policy. today the calculus on all of that changed in a big way. today a conservative federal judge blocked his immigration order anyway. the president said today's administration will appeal that ruling, but the policy that the republicans hate so much is on hold, not happening, it is not on hold because the republican party made threats and promised to shut down homeland security, not on hold because they said we can't have a new attorney general. the reason the policy is on hold is because it is getting held up in the courts. at least temporarily. hoar is the big unanswered question. now that the conservative complaints about his immigration policy is being handled in the courts, does that mean that the country will please be allowed to have a homeland security department again? can we have it since immigration is blocked? can we have a new attorney general? ca
