. >>> as we mentioned, margate is seeing a lot of the flooding and that is where ted greenburg is liveor us. >> reporter: margate and many other barrier islands communities dealing with high water this morning. we are along ventnor between washington and adams and you can see it is under water. there is a car coming down the street right now. that driver is taking a chance driving right through. it is raining. it's not raining as hard as it has been overnight, but inches and inches of rain will do this. storm trains just cannot keep up with so much water so quickly. you can see some folks left their cars parked here and now the water is up over the tires. we have some video from cape may county, as well. a similar scene along ocean drive. you can see people there also parked their cars for the night, left them there and then the water came up around those cars. high water there in avalon. seeing similar images from sea i'll city, aisli'll isle city, . in strathmere, water has filled up the streets there. and take a look at what has happened inside hillary montgomery's place. the water

ted greenburg is live for us in margate where the streets are flooding. hopefully that water is starting to recede. krystal klei with the most accurate forecast. >> and we issued this first alert several days ago knowing that we would get pounded over s&p the southern half of our viewing area. and highest totals around the shore and just updated these numbers. i'm looking at the reports and adding them up. 5.69 inches at the atlantic city airport. wow, a lot of rain there. cape may, the airport location 4.43 inches. in milleville, 2.5 inches. and this is definitely neighborhood weather. we still have a little rain lingering at the shore line. this is light rain at best. so we have spot showers that will continue in the forecast especially along the shore through your morning and even your early afternoon. but the heaviest rain has now moved out. let's take a wide view and you can see we are still tracking some heavier rain to the west of us, but that is looking to drop south. we'll track out everything and get to the better forecast of your sunday coming
