ted scouten of our miami station reports. >> reporter: it's the heart stopping moment when chopper 4 discovered a plane crash on the edge of the everglades. the pilot and crew were asked by air traffic control to help in the search. >> it's not the normal day, but i think it guess to our head often doing this type of missions a lot of times we are first responders. we keep a kit in the back of the helicopter just in case. photographer, also a volunteer firefighters and emt. when she saw a survivor on the wing, sher mind began racing. >> we were relieved to see somebody was there and walking around t. other question was, is there anybody else on board, what is their status? are they really injured? >> the chopper 4 pile decided to land. they knew they had to help. >> that's the first thing you want to do is embed it in your brain you want to get out and hef. >> reporter: he got out of the plane, another crew member got out. too. seeing them standing on the wing standing up was good news from my standpoint. but it was a pretty big airplane and i knew there could have been other passeng
