teen crime spree in the south bay. the news at six starts right now: thanks for joining us. i )m janelle wang, sitting in fr raj mathai. and i )m jessica aguirre. kids on a crime spree - police say they comitted crime after crime in the south bay - from armed robberies in broad daylight to carjackings.. and even a police pursuit - in which an 11 year old was behind the wheel.. nbc bay area )s robert handa joins us from police headquarters with details of the crimes .. the youngsters who pulled them off... robert. we have details of the crimes and we're literally talking about children who pulled them off, robert. >> reporter: that's right. even more police officers were stunned to hear an 11-year-old being involved. police say there's a trend of juveniles committing violent crimes and tonight police chief eddie garcia says the system may be letting them off too easily. >> very sad. seems like the crime is getting younger and younger. >> reporter: panera bread customers were surprised to find out an employee was robbed at gun point saturday morning as part of a three day wave of crime committed by a possible crew of juveniles. one just 11 years old.

i have a kid, but nothing makes me feel older than when i don't know the new slang terms teenagers are using. and it seems like these days teenng terms are evolving so fast that sometimes it's hard to keep up. so we decided to give you a little primer on new teen slang terms in a segment we call "seth explains teen slang." ♪ [ cheers and applause ] >> seth: our first new teen slang term is "blazey eye." it means when you're so high one of your eyes is looking in the other direction.
