and now a rock slide right near telegraph hill.tvu roberto gonzalez joins us live tonight from the city. roberto, what's the scene looking like? >> well, mike, let's put it this way. bill martin was saying a little bit earlier that we got hit hard today. let me show you just how hard we got hit. this is a rock slide. we are under tower hill. we guesstimate that this rock slide occurred about 400 yards up. it slid down, and now it encompasses about ten yards of lane number one and number two, union street to sansome street. it is closed off because of this debris. now i can't get over there and really pick it up and show you because geologists have to come out here. they have to investigate the scene still. but i can tell you that we have shrubs, we have bushes, we have lots of rock. and as i take a look at this soil, i've got to ask. okay, what is it there? was there a lot of mud? well, you know, san francisco has a lot of diverse soil. it's made up of anything from artificial fill to bedrock. and i got to tell you, this is a lot o

let's show you the video of the landslide at telegraph hills. so you don't have to see the blurry images. i can tell you this probably happened at around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. an area that is known to possibly have landslides because they have barriers in place. and that's just in case a landslide takes place that you can catch the rocks. fortunately, we are not hearing of anybody hurt or any cars damaged, but this area has been shut off as least lanes one and samson. we can tell you that geologists will be out here at 9 o'clock this morning to inspect the damage. it appears that the landslide did take place in the middle of the hill and not at the top. and that is important because back in 2007 torrential rains forced about 120 homes to be evacuated nearby out of fear, of course, city with fall right down the hill and of course, down to the roadway at samson and union. hopefully that will not happen this time. of course, today is a dry day, but we do know that the soil is saturated and we do expect more rain is tomorrow. so this obviou
