i will just say that when it comes to city hall, on behalf of tenants, it really is enforcement. people tell us all of the time that if they would just enforce what is on the books, we have a lot of protections. it is not like i am on the peninsula or in another part of the country where we do not have these protections. on paper, they are there. what tenants are looking for, what the collaborative are looking for, our solutions to the process. supervisor mar: supervisor wiener has a question. supervisor wiener: i am glad you are looking at that. there is not a day that goes by where we have all of the world was -- rulees on the books. whether it is recreation and parks have been very few people, so they cannot enforce things, or the department of public works. unfortunately, we have this bad dynamic in the city, where we are not devoting enough resources towards enforcement generally it could be spotty depending on the situation. it is really a major thing we have to grapple with. we have rules, and we have them for a reason, and the impact people's life or their quality of life

i got a copy of the leases of all of the tenants. on the spreadsheet, they indicated that the rent he was close to the bmr rent. i sent them a statement of what the rent were -- of what the rents were, but they had taken the rent -- there were the same trends that were on that sheet. when i got the leases, there were different. they all said different rent levels. i am looking at unit 2018 -- at unit 218, and it was completely different. that is the kind of thing i notice. i was still missing documentation. i ask them to send in. i never got any documentation except working for the owner, who sent something to me individually. i never closed the case. i never issued a letter saying, this is my final determination. this is where we stand. this is where you are. we got to a standstill. i did not issue any thing saying, your rents are wrong because we never got there. the next thing i knew -- i was contacted by tenants or two years. the one lady who was asked to leave and another who was having a lot of issues with the owner. i am neutr

i am the past president of the golden gate we tenants' association -- at the golden gate way tenants association. one of the issues was when i first became aware of this idea of putting a children's playground at sue bierman park, it was late in the game. i contacted supervisor chiu and asked if he could get it continued for me briefly. i am here today to emphatically support a kids' playground in sue bierman park. i am here to report that i think i can tell this committee that agreements have been reached whereby the support for this children's park is unanimous as far as the golden gate way tenants are concerned. last thursday, i believe it was, and that with the board of the golden gate tenants' association -- i met with the board of the golden gate tenants' association. we discussed the proper part of the park to put this in. sue bierman park is composed of two lots. 202 and 203. 203 has a clubhouse structure of it already. it also has the korean monument. apparently it was grandfathered in. the proposal that we discussed was should we go to the board and say consider to 03 along
