kron4's terisa estacio has an update on the investigation. forensic investigators with atf explosives and fire division set up special equipment to diagram what is left of this large apartment complex. it is the first of many steps to try and figure out how this enormous fire started. it was tuesday morning around 1am.. .when the first 911 calls came flooding in - describing giant flames tearing across the night sky the complex - called renaissance 2 was 60 percent completed - the ferocious fire decimating the 180 unit complex that was set to open in september of 2018. take a look at this although the fires was put out by early tuesday morning, the damages was severe - this entire side collapsed crushing several cars. throughout wednesday, fire crews sprayed water to beat back hot spots. sot/tc: . . this is complicated to deal with, the building very unstable. we can't go in yet. residents at the nearby renaissance one complex were forced to evacuate and they remain out for now sot/tc: we are trying to get back in and as for the cause of this
