then you can take a bus to terminal b and walk back to the gate in terminal a. the gates are not affected by this water main back. only the baggage claim, sky bridge and the security check-in, not the ticketing area. the airport is calling in all their staff this monday morning to try to help passengers to try to not have any delays. right now they don't think there should be delays, but if there are delays they will be minimal. you can see why the security area ihut down. it is, again, full of two to three inches of water. a man is here trying to sweep it up. and you can see the problem here with the ceiling, a lot is not water resistant material. the foam tiles have been coming down. this is one of the methods elsewhere throughout the terminal. when will the terminal be open? you can see they do need to repair the ceiling to get this watery mess out of here. again, not expecting much in the way of delays because the gates are not affected. they are telling people to check in at a, take a bus to b, walk back to your gate at a. bob redell for "today in the bay."

you can see them behind me here at terminal a. the wait is around 15 to 20 minutes while the airport and tsa are trying to work on getting the main security check point open, which is right over here to your right. you can see they've got blowers on the carpet where much of this water was. you might remember several hours ago we saw them trying to squeegee the water out. the tsa is also checking the equipment to see how it might have been damaged by this morning's flooding. this was the scene earlier this morning. terminal a under three inches of water with what looked like a rain forest pouring from the ceiling downstairs. no matter how much the workers vacu vacuumed, brushed away, that water just kept coming back. the culprit a three-inch expansion joint that burst around 2:15 this morning. hot, 180-degree water gushed out, steaming the windows and setting off the fire sprinkler in the process. it shut down the sky bridge, terminal a's baggage pickup. >> asked us to weigh our bags, check them in, and then we had to drag our bags
