that is where terry mcsweeney has been with very latest details. is this helping out providing any clues yet? >> reporter: as the clue whether it helps we'll have to wait and see. what we know is that investigators are now telling us they have found the black and pink purse, the juicy brand purse that belonged to sierra lamar. they found it last sunday but they told it about yesterday. it took them four days to figure out it was hers that led to an all-out search. take a look at that all-out search that happened yesterday. search and rescue fanned out from her home in morgan hill. she is believed to have been on the way to school bus stop when he vanished. she sent a text a little after 7:00 last friday morning. her phone was found by the side of the road a few blocks from where the bag was found on sunday. the phone was found on saturday. bag on sunday but all the findings have led to very few conclusions. >> the clothing was neatly folded inside her bag. what we do not know whether she was wearing that clothing when she left the house. but there

terry mcsweeney is live with the latest. >> reporter: the word tense does not describe the feeling at the school board meeting last night. very angry parents and teachers very upset with the school board's decision previously, to close down five elementary schools. here's one side of the issue. parents and teachers broke up that meeting, board members walked out that was it. members planning to vote on the idea of turning over one school to a charter school company and another to another district. one board member says that charter school plan is a good one. >> the charter application that we have here today, is better than the two previous charter schools that we an approved for schools to succeed. i think this is more of a personal nature. >> reporter: the board never got around to any decisions. meeting is going to resume today if protesters allow it to. protesters had vowed to spend the night they brought sleeping bags and cell phone chargers. there's a report they were removed from the building and that board meeting is scheduled to resume today we'll have to see what happens. te

the sheriff held a news conference this morning and terry mcsweeney joins us from santa clara county. >> reporter: an all-out search is now going on for sierra lamar. the reason it is going on intensely starting today is because of the discovery of her pink and black juicy purse. the purse was discovered sunday. the intensification of the search begins today this is where going to be centered from. this is an empty parking lot, not far from the home where 15-year-old sierra lamar lived technically in the utter most southern edge of san jose not far from her unincorporated morgan hill home. we are learning there are five k-9 search-and-rescue teams deployed in the area within a three mile radius of sierra's home. the purse was found sunday afternoon, a couple miles from where her cell phone was found saturday. sheriff's spokesman spoke a few minutes ago. >> members of the sheriff's office search-and-rescue team found this juicy bag belonging to sierra. inside the bag was some of her clothing. a pair of pants and t-shirt, neatly folded, put inside this bag this bag was located within a

terry mcsweeney is live along i-80 in crockett. the gateway to tahoe. >> reporter: there will be a lot of people heading up to tahoe exciting weekend for skiers. there is a warning from the sierra avalanche center of considerable danger, the likelihood of human triggered avalanches in the sierra this . take a look at what they believe where this happened yesterday. a skier near alpine meadows dead after he and a couple of friends went into the back country, i mean way back country, by themselves and did what i was talking, triggered an avalanche. the victim only described as a 29-year-old man was caught in that avalanche avalanche and slammed into a tree. one friend stayed with him, another went for help. it took a long time for the search-and-rescue team 2 1/2 hours to get to the injured man. >> the terrain was so rough we couldn't get any snowmobiles up to. >> reporter: keep in mind, back country sking there is avalanche control in place at ski resorts you stay with the crowds, if you go to all the named resorts, you should be as

terry mcsweeney is live at the sunnyvale police department with the latest information. >> reporter: we were out in that quiet neighborhood on nectarine avenue a short time ago. there is no police activity out there right now no police officers out there. a captain with public safety tells me there is no threat to the people in that area suggesting that whoever it is who did this double homicide is no longer a threat to that area. take a look at what it looked like last night. a lot of police. this is something sunnyvale public safety doesn't investigate that much talking about one homicide here we have two. the call came in 7:45 report of two shot in the house. three live in the house, two adults were shot and killed, 18-year-old also lived in that house. police would only say this about the crime last night. >> upon our arrival our officers declared two dead it appeared that both parties had sustained gunshot wounds and we're investigating the incident. >> reporter: the public safety officers are not saying if the weapon was recovered, if this was a murder-suicide. last time we hea
