terry mcsweeney is live at where it happened with what we know so far. >> reporter: i'm here at this arco gas station west of 280 -- a person was shot by a police officer last night behind me is where it happened that person we are told is a 14 or 15-year-old boy fighting for his life at san francisco general hospital. take a look at pictures. the official statement from the police department last night a solo officer came upon this person and decided to talk to him they are not saying why. they were within interview distance is the way they are describing it. the police officer felt he was in danger pulled his gun and shot the person who again according to relatives talking to employees here the victim 14 or 15 years of age. south san francisco police say a gun was found at the scene. the boy suffering from life-threatening injuries taken to san francisco general. we called san francisco general this morning and they are telling abc7 news they have no information to release pending notification of family. again, relatives telling employees here at the gas station the victim is 14 or

we have live team coverage starting with terry mcsweeney who is live at the west oakland bart station. >> reporter: what a difference a day makes. yesterday at this time the flames were still lapping up towards the tracks at the west oakland bart. they did damage, bart train gone overnight inspection into this early morning. they looked at what they've done and they are saying it is now all systems go full speed full load look at the crews that did the repairs working on the damaged parts that kept bart shutdown for 12, 13 hours yesterday, 100 people working nonstop they got the job done fire at a structure next to the tracks destroyed 45 insulators which hold up a third rail which was warped, 400 feet of communications cable damaged, a lot had to be done it got done. >> we were testing whether the repairs that we made yesterday were still intact and whether everything was good to go for increased train speeds and everything looks good. the people who worked on it yesterday morning and early afternoon did an awesome job. >> reporter: yesterday we found out what it is like without bart

terry mcsweeney is live in san bruno, the scene of that disastrous pipeline failure two years ago. >> reporter: pg&e looking at 180 different segments of pipeline, natural gas pipeline after admitting it had ignored the fact that many of these lines are susceptible to corrosion. take a look at one of the pipelines that blew, the most infamous of all the pg&e this is line line 1 2 the one that failed september 9th, 2010 killing eight people, destroying 38 homes. while pg&e has a policy of coming up with a solution to problems within 60 days of finding problems, some pipes have been left alone going back to 2004. one of those is line 132, the company discovered a nine mile section of the pipe stretching into san francisco from san bruno is vulnerable to corrosion, but nothing has been done. another potentially problematic section is milpitas discovered in 2006. again, nothing done. chronicle says the vulnerability is a lowered level of electric current running through the lines that prevents corrosion. pg&e is promising to complete emergency line inspections by the end of the month. puc

terry mcsweeney is live at the scene in the 500 block of high street. >> reporter: this wrapped up 3:00 this morning after hours worth of a standoff. the standoff occurred at this house at and high streets. look at what this was about -- it started with a deputy spotting a stolen dark green saturn. they chased it to high and jensen next to 880. the driver shot at a deputy deputy tried pull him over at 41st and international about 58 last night. it went on for seven hours. the chase ended when the sat turn stopped, the driver ran into highs. for a time, he had three hostages. he let tell go and turned himself in around 3:00 this morning. >> primary mission to protect everyone involved, including the suspect. were were able to come down here and have a dialogue with the suspect and we were able to talk him out. >> reporter: investigators say there is some kind of relationship between the gunman and the man who lives this house, unclear what that is. it was a volatile situation, but it is over with the gunman in custody and no one injured. again, it wrapped up about 3:00 this morning. te

terry mcsweeney is live at superior court with a preview. >> reporter: going to be a battle royale here this morning. it is not going to end this morning. a 66 million dollar estate, big chunk of that of thomas kincade's estate at issue. the question is, is that note that has surfaced written by him? did he do it when he was thinking clearly? exactly how much weight should it have in court? take a look at the artist thomas kincade passed way this past april from an alcohol and drug overdose. 54 years of age, popular, 10 million pieces of his artwork hanging in american homes. when he died he was dating a woman who is claiming that this note was written by kincade, giving her 10 million dollars and his mansion to be a museum for his works. her attorney wants to administer that 10 million dollars and not the entire 66 million dollar estate. kincade's wife has a different take. the two were legally separated on their way towards a divorce it would appear. she was married to him for 30 years, mother of his four daughters. she said walsh is a gold-digger. kincade died in april at the age of

terry mcsweeney is live at the police station with more on the investigation. this is a neighborhood already known to police >> reporter: yeah, very well none by police couple blocks away one of the most heinous homicide scenes in the city's history police were saying that one was one of the worst they've seen the one this morning took place 12:20 when the reports came in. eric, you are right gunshots, lots of 'em. within person saying eight. three gunshots, pause then five more. when police alived they found a man in his 20s -- arrived they found a man in his 20s on the sidewalk. cpr was administered but it was too late, the man died. this is two blocks from the scene where five bodies were found in march that turned out to be a robbery gone bad, especially bloody scene down the treat from where this morning's homicide took place. police say very preliminary, just five hours ago when the homicide occured right now they are going through whatever evidence they have trying to figure out who did it and why right now preliminary stages not a lot of information bei

terry mcsweeney joins us with all the developments. >> reporter: 30-year-old louis sanchez and marvin norwood pleading not guilty in the beating of brian stow march 31st of last year. the district attorney has been building a case against the suspects that includes what sounds like a confession. take a look at the two in court this morning. their only comment was, yes your honor when asked if they understood the charges. sanchez is changing to a public defender from a private attorney who said sanchez could not afford him for a month long trial. some of the evidence against sanchez and norwood is a secretly recorded conversation following a line-up in july. the men are heard discussing how they beat stow in the parking lot after the game against the giants it left the paramedic permanently disabled with brain damage. the men talked about the need to make up some kind of defense and we may learn more about their defense when the two return to court july 24th, for a pretrial hearing. >>> electric carmaker tesla will deliver its first sedan made in fremont to customers today. the first p
