terry mcsweeney joins us live. >> reporter: they just announced three suspects are in custody for the crime spree that began in the fall last year to the spring of this year all suspects from vallejo. this happened carquinez bridge toll chp says the three in custody would drive up to the booths, usually show weapons, demand money and off they would go. complicating the investigation they wore ski masks and driving stolen cars. i asked how they found the suspects? >> it has been a year and a half long investigation. i work with vallejo police and figured out who were the car thiefs in vallejo and figured out who was who and we had evidence and the evidence was submitted and went from there. >> reporter: the three men are 30-year-old chris miller, 43-year-old robert white, 47-year-old david morales, tied to three of the 10 robberies that occurred. the entire 10 robberies netted $ ,000. according -- netted $6,000. according to the investigators, more arrests are expected. terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. >>> new information on homicide investigation in the east bay, a story we brought you las

terry mcsweeney joins us live from there. it just reopened. >> reporter: it just reopened at 7:00, it was closed all night this is the epicenter of the flooding you can see the water and the cones out, everybody here knows this area is yet again, one high tide or one downpour away from more flooding. the water sits on the shoulder of highways 12 and 121 in sonoma, giving you a good idea what closed this road you couldn't get through the water covered all lanes last night. about 7:00 this morning, the waters receded and the road reopened. down the road at jenelle's cafe they've seen this song and dance before, every time it storms at high tide. >> people thought they were fixing the flooding it was more about the safety of that road coming out. they put the light in to help it and they did try to help some of the flooding but mother nature wins. it goes over every time. >> reporter: all things considered not much damage. a little here, little up there they did a brisk business in the days leading up to the storm today they are

terry mcsweeney is at the scene. is the family okay? >> reporter: yeah 4:00 this morning a mother and her 8-year-old son were awakened by the sound of a breaking window. scary enough. then they looked up and saw the flames that did all of this damage, the two ran for their lives. look at what they ran from. firefighters say they got here in four minutes, but still, upstairs and downstairs were engulfed. firefighters knew this fire had moved very rapidly, and then, they figured out why. >> she woke up to a loud crash, kind of on the first floor, she believes it was some form of molotov cocktail she did see a bottle on the floor, saw flames, grabbed her son and headed out. >> reporter: it is arson. i asked the woman who lives here the apartment building manager, if she had any idea who would do something like this. she said someone who don't appreciate life. $150,000 to the building, $20,000 more to the belongings of her and her son they confined the fire to one unit. the bottle was found inside, no question there was accelerant used. the

terry mcsweeney is live along lucky drive in cortamadera. what are you seeing? >> reporter: what i'm seeing is some pooling let's call it this is an area that floods every time you get a serious downpour. one thing before i get into the flooding 900 pg&e customers without power in san rafael now. no idea when that power is coming back up. behind me is a spot where you can't see from it here that it is pooling, take a look at video and you can see it is pooling this is from our van about half an hour ago, driving northbound on 101 next to a truck all of a sudden you can see where you are -- you can't see where you are going. every time there's a downpour, it floods. now look at another problem caused by the past storm and expected to be caused by this next one downed trees problem over the past week all over the bay area continues. in larkspur crews removing dangerous branches. friday a branch realize that potential and slammed into a house. >> [ inaudible ] >> reporter: what was the noise like? >> so horrible, loud. >> trees leaning, people are concerned, they a

terry mcsweeney, abc7 news. >>> 5:02. the man charged with the murder of missing morgan hill teenager sierra lamar is scheduled to face arraignment in court this morning on additional charges that date back three years. 21-year-old antolin garcia-torres was arrested in may for lamar's disappearance and murder based on dna. new charges happened in march. 2009 when he was 17, attempted kidnapping and carjacking stun gun allegedly used. the d.a.'s office received clearance from juvenile court last month to file the new charges. >>> this morning police confirming 8-year-old girl gunned down by her father in shooting rampage on an indian reservation in the central valley has died. deputies were called to the ly river reservation 8:00 saturday night, he killed his mother and her two brothers, wounded his 6-year-old nephew, then shot both of his young daughters. the 5-year-old will survive. deputies located him 30 miles away tracking his cell phone he was shot and killed after a slow speed car chase. >>> in san jose last of four
