terry mcsweeney in the middle of it. we can see it. terry? >> reporter: it's not hard to find a flooded road here outside of the city of santa rosa. one thing that blows my mind. nearly six inches of rain and the fire department didn't have one water-related emergency all day long. the most water they ever had. outside of town, it's a different story. flooding just about everywhere including where i am on todd road. look at the scene earlier. the fire department said the barriers were up. it was clearly a closed road, but this driver and this driver was on loan and many others went around the barriers trying to make it through the water and thought maybe they could squeeze by and couldn't. more rain expected overnight and more especially in western sonoma counties. the fire department is gearing up. >> the santa rosa fire department starting tomorrow about additional water technicians stepped up with additional swift water rescue equipment. not only for our area in the event there is a problem, but more so in the event there is problems which
