navy paid tetra tech a quarter billion dollars to clean up toxic waste at the former hunters point naval shipyard. they turned that land over to the city of san francisco to make way for condos and additional housing. in 2012, two contractors accused the companies of falsifying tests about the soil samples of the site in order to meet safety standards. they sued over concerns that the cleanup was botched. they use department of justice revealed that two former supervisors with tetra tech admitted to falsifying the soil tests. other reviews by the u.s. navy and viable protecting -- environmental protection agency revealed widespread problems. those problems were limited to those two supervisors and says the contractor is also to blame. >> all of this is attributable to 3 x court -- as -- x workers . one of them should be sentenced to prison. we believe an -- >> reporter: an attorney from the customer -- company will give a testimony. later this afternoon. people at the hearing will then have an opportunity to ask questions, also ask questions for uppers -- representatives of the u.s. navy
