i know how to govern in the state of texas. when 181 members of the legislature voted on this issue of how we will deal with these individuals and there are only four dissenting votes, that is the will of the people of the state of texas. i agree that that is a texas decision. i stand by that. i am not going to change my position by virtue of going to new hampshire and saying let's build 200 miles of fence and that will take care of it because it will not. strategic fencing in places is very important work that helps slow down the high traffic areas but obstacle without observation is no obstacle at all. you have to have that observation with boots on the ground but also the technologies that are fascinating in how well they work. air force ccreech base a week ago and it was my instinct there was a young american pilot watching gaddafi paused compound -- gaddafi's compound from nevada waiting for the opportunity to impact that oppressive regime. that technology is there and available and we need to substantially direct more of

we got that in texas.is the energy cost is one of those things, and freeing up our domestic energy production, i will suggest to you will do two things. number one, it will get this country working, and more people put to work than anything that we can probably do, and to do that, i'm talking about removing those onerous regulations we're seeing come out of the e.p.a. and other agencies of government that are job-killers. and really free up this country. we've got centuries of energy in this country, either oil and gas or coal and wind, and allow those energy sectors to compete against each other, and that will drive down the cost of the seniors' expenses, because they're on fixed income. everything that we can do to drive down those fixed costs for our senior citizens. and frankly, there may be a lot of those individuals if they so choose that are going to go back into the workforce again, if there are jobs that are available, either part-time or full-time. so i will suggest to you again, this goes back -
