chevron is moving at san ramon headquarters to houston, texas kron four's terisa texas.hifting gears. chevron officially announcing friday that they're moving their headquarters to houston, texas, here in san ramon. the chevron spokesperson says that the support jobs will remain in california. that means nearly 2000 current jobs will not be affected. but the announcement friday, what will be affected will be this. the headquarters will officially be in houston, texas, the vice chair and other senior leaders will be relocated. in a statement, chevron says that the move will be to, quote, allowed better collaboration and engagement with executives, employees and business partners. chevron has a huge footprint in houston right now employing about 7,000 people. and again, about 2000 in san ramon. it also operates crude oil fields, technical facilities into refineries and supplies for them. 1800 retail stations in california. governor gavin newsom said in a statement, quote, the announcement is a logical culmination of a long process that has repeatedly been foreshadowed by c
