texas. that's where i started out in austin. i mean what an incredible -- i get chills up and down my body when i started to think about it and i thought what better home than university of texas could i ever put anything i ever did? and i really mean that sincerely. it's near and dear to my heart. i just feel very privileged i'm able to join a group of incredible photo journalists who don has had had the insight to go after and collect their material. a lot of people that i worked with in the field in vietnam and other places and to be included as part of that group and so that's really the way i felt about the whole -- my whole journey here. it's been incredible. of course with allison beck and she's been just a great -- she's managed to hand carry me in here very well too. also. what a team, what a team. i mean when i start to talk about them to my friends i often think back that it could have ended up in a basement somewhere and thrown into a trash compacter like a lot of people's work sometimes that does occur over the year
