we were stationed there at the university of georgia. 20 of us were picked up from austin texas and sent to texas christian university on an experiment that didn't work. they wanted us to start flying 260 horsepower, rather than the cubs, which were 45 horsepower. the flying part didn't bother us. they put 20 red-blooded american boys in jarvis hall at tcu. the girls dormitory back in 1943 that didn't work. we went out for football there. i can tell that i played football for texas christian university. as time goes on after a few more die off i might have been all kinds. i didn't get in a ballgame. we had some that were going to be good football players. we broke to arms, if fractured a cheekbone. the navy pulled us out. it was an interesting program. they dropped the qualifications for navy pilots to have a college degree. they needed pilots. i was very poor, high school every educational institution i've been to, i was never top. i always thought everything over 70 was wasted. they said in high school if i made the highest of all, my mother would be proud of me. it's not all that bad. they say i made fo

reich of texas christian university? where is it? >> guest: texas christian is in fort worth. there was a time a generation or more ago were often those two football teams on the gridiron would come head-to-head in the conference. it's been a long time since that has happened. stanley ball and davey o'brien and ty aldrich were great foot tall heroes at texas christian university. i think now we probably teach more carriage on the gridiron. we are teaching them how to be graceful losers and that's important in life too read we haven't had a conference champion in a long time. c-span: what do you teach? >> guest: i'm teaching a course at the university asked me to put together called congress and the president. we go into the background of the division of powers and the constitution, how congress and the president are expected to work together, how they view -- do work together. some historical areas like and henry clay's time and affirmative course for speaker actually got us into a war the war of 1812. madison is not particularly keen on it. the speaker of the house assumed a
