now, the low pressure that caused this, there you see it, northern texas to panhandle area, that was in denver yesterday. this is heading a little further to the south and heading off to the east getting somewhere off the carolina coast in our part of the woods here. we've got colder air coming in. we've got colder air to the north. the problem is -- you've got wind coming off the ocean. the ocean is warm, 55, 60 degrees, warm air moving into this chilly air and it has to rain pretty hard to bring down chilly enough air for wet snowflakes in the city south and east maybe a little bit north and west it may be cold enough for a few hours while we see some moderate to heavy wet snow for a few hours on saturday before it clears out. colder, yes, low pressure there it goes and eventually it's gone. sunshine returns on sunday. quick look at the tropics down to about 58 miles per hour not going anywhere that's good news. it is raining in the cancun cross moe area. the wind 25, 30 miles an hour will not effect -- northeast wind 5 to 10 knots, generally clear, 30. the winds will be dying down

we've been talking about the heavy rain, especially along the texas panhandle as we zoom in on a few coming through. in fact, everything you see that happens to be in the orange color or even like a yellowish, that's where you have your heavy precipitation, now moving away from odessa and midland. however, with all of the rain that has been falling over the last say several hours, it's finding its way into this dry river bed. so you're going to see again the water spreading away from the banks and flash flooding is also going to be possible in places like an lien before the day is out and we may see these showers reokur through the weekend. back towards denver, denver okay, colorado springs fine, too. but when you get in the rockies, the snow is coming down. if you're a skier and love the snow, happy times for you. not so happy in the sunshine state of florida if you're a tourist hoping to see the parks. you're going to deal with rain from port orange to orlando back to palm bay even as far south as ft. piers. 88 degrees atlanta, 83 new orleans, 87 in houston. 88 in dallas. 44 in den

on denver and the greeley area over a foot of snow and we're getting, we had a little in the panhandle of texas and we're seeing showers now and this is going to move in the direction of the deep south and up the coast and this is that position on saturday. i wanted to see you what was produced, especially in the blue ridge and as it pulls away, it's possible it could end with the wet snow and the left of us will see rain and cold rain and with some temperatures in the mid-40s. i wanted to show you for tonight, the overnight hours, a frost advisory is posted to the north and this replaces a freeze watch up yesterday and make sure you bring the plants in if you live to the north of the district. it's going to be frosty cold up there and we're seeing the temperatures drop. d.c., 63; check out quantico at 73 and where that front came on through, we saw a big drop in temperatures. hagerstown, 48 and some wins gusting as high as 32 miles an hour and forecast temperatures, 34 for martinsburg and pennsylvania and some low 20s and low 30s there. saturday, going to be 46 degrees and an each to an each a
