the giants ready to finish off the texas rangers, and i think the entire state of texas now understands the giants pitching staff is pretty dog gone good after an 8 in inning three hit shut out by madison bum garner. tim lincecum will repeat that act. he gave up four runs four plus innings in game one, a game the giants still won 11-7. that's because the rangers ace cliff lee gave up 6 earned runs in four plus innings. he was not at all his usual self. he came in 7-0 in post season before that. but now cliff lee has a newfound respect for the giants. >> in the last press conference i was saying how good their pitching staff was made it seem like their hitters are not good that's not the case. i'm just saying their pitching and defers is what got them where they are at. they scored was it 20 something runs in two games. i mean, they know what they are doing with the bat. the more pitches they see the better they get. it's the kind of line up that is. >> knowing you're pitching another world series game eases the tension there. i just try to approach it try to keep my nerves together and
