and the aipac conference. we have donald trump set to make his address at that conference coming up in the next hour. and outside, there is a small coordination of protesters, including this man. it's rabbi david passkin and he's leading an effort for a backout during donald trump's speech tonight and he joins me now from washington. rabbi, thank you for being here. you said in an interview last week, there are more than 900 leaders in this protest movement and you said there could be upwards of a thousand who walk out of that auditorium. so, in the next hour, when mr. trump takes that stage, is that what you anticipate, about a thousand people walking out? >> i think it's going to be very difficult to say, thomas. it's -- many of our people are going to be walking out. others are simply not going to be showing up. so it's very difficult to point people who don't show up. so i think what you're going to see is hundreds of people today and for the rest of this campaign, saying no to hatred. and not accepting the

clinton was the first candidate to address the expected crowd of about 18,000 at aipac. r his comments about remaining neutral. she also took him to task for violence at his rallies and his rhetoric on the campaign trail. kelly o'donnell joins us now from the conference in washington, d.c. and a lot, of course, of focus will be on hillary clinton. but she's experienced. she's a former secretary of state. this speech for donald trump and that crowd including the threat of some rabbis walking out, that could be the headline today, kelly. >> well, one of the interesting things will be how visible that will be, because of the setting here at the verizon center. an arena where basketball and other sports are normally pl played. so the crowd is in mostly darkness. so if people do choose to walk out with donald trump, it may be a little harder to detect. we'll certainly keep an eye out for that. and for hillary clinton, her really stinging criticism of donald trump, it's important to know, never saying his name, but she could speak in code that this audience definitely understoo

i want to try to explain to people the power of aipac. it's not so much the organization itself and that you can endorse people in different ways, but people tell me if you get an endorsement of aipac, you find yourself with friends you never knew you had. people will say, can i have a fund raiser for you, help you out in certain ways. it creates a whole support for your -- now it's being challenged by a moderate group to its left. but less hawkish certainly. i don't know, the n rks a, aipac, washington, d.c., those two groups really get your attention if you're politician of either party. joy, i was here paying tribute to the oratory of john kasich, a guy we normally think of as a jimmy stewart, awe shucks. and all of a sudden he's a barn burner. >> a lot of people forget that governor kasich has a media background. he's actually a quite good presenter. >> did you watch it? >> i did actually remember seeing it a couple of times. very conservative guy. he comes across as a moderate in this race because of obviously the contrast of people l

i think the speech at the aipac was a significant step by him. going to be taking some other steps that are designed to say particularly the conservatives, look, you know, you can rely on me. here is some indications how serious i am. and he is assembling a team. he talked to the "the washington post" today about foreign policy advisors, released six names of pretty substantive people who would be widely recognized as the having real experience. and i think the tone and the meeting i was in, the calista and i went to as old friends and there were a number of people there who have endorsed him. other people interested in learning what's going on. but the tone was practical, workmanlike. this is the donald trump who knows how to sit down with bankers and knows how to sit down with people who are interested in. >> he believe that he has the right stuff to be president. that's what they all do. >> yeah. i was going to say it's not the isn't that the job of a presidential candidate. >> what? >> isn't that the job of a presidential candidate? >> i don'
