the world. there is no backlog applications. and the trump administration has taken every opportunity to promote natural gas approved. they finalized a rule to approve applications to export less than 0.14 billion cubic feet per day. all small scale exports are in the public interest and removes long standing consumer protections, prevents the public of having the opportunity to know about or provide input and violates the public hearing requirement of the natural gas act. rather than stand up for american consumers and manufacturers who benefit from from low natural gas prices, the trump administration is boosting special interests to allow them to export l.n.g. in this bill is intended to codify d.o.e.'s schmoll scale l.n.g. rule but proponents have not justified the rule for swift action on a rule that was just finalized. there are draw backs with codifying a rule. for example, should the circumstances arise where exporting is no longer in the public interest, congress would have to enact a new law to make any necessary change
