>>is set to return to the bay area, another red flag warning has been issued for the north bay mountains starting tomorrow at 01:00pm our chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is here now lawrence this time is horrible yeah, i'm very very concerned now things are beginning to shape up right now so if you live in some of these areas in around the fires, you got to be prepared to get out there's going to be change in the wind direction that is going to mean everything today we really kind lucked out a very light winds so far and of course we've had that sea breeze and that's been bringing the moisture up. well that's going to change in right now you can see those winds running fairly light around much of the fire area in fact not too strong out santa rosa about of the south of 5 miles per hour. they're starting with that breeze going in parts of the out bill you see towards soda springs at some of those winds over 10 miles per hour. but that is going to change as we're going to see high pressure building in what's called a thermal trough is going to move out along the coastline. what that do

the bay area's latino community is getting hit hard. kpix 5's lynn ramirez on their demands for more help. >> latinos make up 39% of the population in california yet have 61% of the covid-19 cases. and today community groups are saying with what the state and local authorities are doing so far isn't working for their community. latinos say what's happening to their population inpandemic is devastating and widespread. there's been very little protection and prevention in the latino community throughout this country. the disproportionate numbers of covid caseens ev pandemic began. the latino community, multiple families in one bed room unit. making it impossible to social distance, they couldn't stop working because they are essential workers and so the rate of infection was catastrophic. seven months into the pandemic, they're critical of local health department's response to latinos. they're submitwhting demands th say couldlessen the impact such as free and walk up testing. >> the testing site haves to be open 24/7. >> they're demanding

right now we have power shot off across the bay area. we will get you caught up with complete team coverage this morning. let's start with meteorologist mary lee for the latest outside . mary. >>> michelle and len , we are tracking gusty offshore winds this morning . we have seen wind gusts in the highest mountain peaks at 82 near 90 mile-per-hour wind gusts this morning. current wind speeds are sustained at 31 miles per hour in fairfield. 22 in santa rosa and 20 for concord. 21 mile-per-hour sustained at sfo. we are looking at 39 mile-per-hour wind gusts in santa rosa. 30 miles per hour in napa and 26 for a word this morning. we are talking about a red flag warning for the entire bay area until 11:00 a.m. today. because of the strong winds and low humidity values down to the single digits and teens. we are talking dangerous fire conditions. we will see the winds ease in the lower elevations later today but the mountains and hills will look at the red flag warning until 5:00 p.m. tuesday for the east bay hills and diablo range. and until

high fire dangers across the bay area. t a check on your forecast with mary lee. >>> tracking critical fire weather conditions, second offshore wind event of the week happening now. a red flag warning, another one, in effect now until 8:00 a.m. friday for the areas in red. bay area hills and mountains, higher elevations, north bay mountains, east bay hills and valleys, diablo, santa cruz, san mateo county coast under the warning. this is a big concern as we head through the next several days. temperature wise we will be cooler compared to yesterday by about five degrees. low to mid 80s inland, low to mid 70s around the bay and mid 60s for the coast. we will continue to cool down as we head through the week. we'll talk about another offshore wind event right behind this. details on that and i will show you futurecast winds in a few minutes. let's check with gianna. it is slow going on the bay bridge. >> it is. meter lights were turned on at 6:02 and traffic is stacking up. you are backed up now to the foot of the maze. this
