interestingly, there is one case that was brought here to the supreme court out of arkansas. by two same-sex couples, both of them married. they were petitioning and appealing this decision to the supreme court to have their names, both of the people in that same-sex marriage on a birth certificate. arkansas law said that, no, you could not have both names on a birth certificate if you were a same-sex couple. in a sense, treating a same-sex couple differently than a heterosexual couple. these two couples brought the case to the supreme court. what the supreme court did this morning is summarily reversed the decision and said no, arkansas cannot have this law that does not allow both these same-sex partners to both be on the birth certificate if they're married. very interesting decision. also, an order coming down in that masterpiece cake case out of colorado. the supreme court will, in fact, take up arguments on this case involving religious liberty in the next term. this case involves a cake shop maker, who was a same-sex couple, came to his cake shop. said we want you to m

police found that the man had an outstanding warrant out of arkansas... and as officers began searching the car they found the body of a toddler covered with blankets in the backseat... as of right now, police have not released much information on the toddler and are still trying to figure out the cause of death... (steve) in san jose police are investigating what appears to be an attempted murder-suicide. officers responded to a shooting on creston lane by mclaughlin avenue in san jose around 9:00 a.m. and found a man dead in the middle of the street shortly after... they found a woman in a nearby home who was also shot and injured.. police blocked off creston lane for about three hours as they investigated... police say the man called 9-1-1 after trying to kill the woman and then shot and killed himself... that's when the woman ran away into a nearby home and called 9-1-1 in the home... the woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries... no word on her condition tonight... i like the families i have in those choices and i still see there is controversy in what's going on. i live in arkansas, and they still have so far to go. as far as what they're doing with black kids and white kids and they're still bussing kids? white communities outside of the areas where they live. kids are just really struggling. i live in the inner city. i run a church program. those kids can't read at all. they come -- 40 of them every single day to come eat and we give them books and we give them little bibles and they ask us to read them to them. they cannot read and it just makes me angry, and cl is nwhict the word i was going to use, but it makes me angry. it's church so i can rein it in. those are the things that i think we have to pay attention to. what is continuing to go. what did brown fix at all? are we in schools that are equal? are we just in public schools? i've said for many years, and he said it, too, are we just keeping our kids in these buildings because we fought to get in the buildings? you know? and that just makes me angry and so, you know, i think that we have to continue to
