to the atlantic casino crisis more trouble for revel this morning as owners are planning to scrap the $95 million deal to afford a developer that would have bought it this morning. revel's lawyer will ask the judge to cancel the deal with the developer because the sale did not close at midnight. that's because the judge ruled yesterday that the sale can't proceed without considering first the rights of former businesses at revel and its energy supplier. those entities are appealing the sale. but the potential buyer is looking to extend the sale deadline until the end of the month. >>> 5:36 right now. septa and one of the unions goes before a federal official today as union officials believe certain rules are putting workers and riders at risk. here's the issue, all of septa's train engineers work more than 40 hours a week and most work six days a week. they can do that as septa requested and got a waiver from the government on certain safety rules. well engineers say the waiver results in tired workers and a culture trending toward minimum safety standards. >>> a confrontation caught

some encouraging news about the atlantic city casino crisis. january casino revenues were up 19% compared to a year ago. the state's casino control commission says the numbers could indicate the worst is over for atlantic city. four casinos in the city closed last year. eight remain open. >>> ride share service has now been able to provide services in all of pennsylvania except philadelphia. state regulators approved the plans to comply with a two-year experimental period. drivers can access the app and show up with pink mustaches on their cars. philadelphia considers them illegal tax surfaces. >>> a delaware governor jack mar kel set aside a million dollars for the prosperity initiative. the state started the program in 2012 delaying high schoolers to college training for high-demand jobs. the state will offer part of the million dollars to schools that adopt the program over the next two school years. governor mar kel we'll see you then. >>> and $6 million in road improvements could be delayed without new revenue according to state officials.

the massive storm that left a heavy trail of snow from the plains to the northeast is moving off the atlantic coast. the storm left a blanket of snow from washington state to new england where the snow continued to fall overnight. ten storm-related deaths were reported from the midwest to the northeast. some areas got over a foot of snow and there's snow cover as far south as new mexico. the storm has disrupted travel. since sunday more than 7300 flights have been canceled nationwide. that includes more than 500 today. >>> it snowed overnight in maine where winter storm warnings are in effect until this morning. some new england coastal areas got up to a foot and a half of snow. that includes parts of boston which set a record for the snowiest seven day period in the city's history. kris van cleve is in boston where it's postponed a big super bowl celebration. >> reporter: the super bowl champions new england patriots touched down at logan airport monday night. their parade was sacked by another snowstorm. it's set for wednesday. >> i feel like i'm in the north pole. it's crazy. >> reporter:

if you look closer to the shore, atlantic city into cape may, it's rainfall. as we take a closer look at the i-95 corridor, the main concern with the wintry mix, freezing rain, sleet and the possibility of ice. so the roads are already dangerous, we want to be careful. hopefully you can stay in for the rs of the night. the new concern is the freezing rain and the slick spots on the roads. then we go into the overnight hours and tomorrow morning, at 6:00 a.m., heading to church early, most of the showers are mainly combined to atlantic city to cape may, the central and southern parts of delaware. we'll see more clearing throughout philadelphia the lehigh valley and into the poconos. into the rest of the morning, by 9:00, most of the moisture is off shore. we're actually going to see mild conditions but they will be short-lived. i'll go over the details and what to expect in the forecast. denise? >> thanks, brittany. a live look at center city. this is 18th and walnut streets. that's quite a mess left behind on the streets an the sidewalks. the cars trying to mak

the tides are being felt along the atlantic coast of france inundating this bridge. federal law enforcement officials are investigating a troubling new video tonight released by the al qaeda-linked militant group al-shabaab.ou it appears to call for attacks on american shopping malls. charlie d'agata has more from london tonight. charlie. >> reporter: jim, the video appears to call on for lone wolf attacks on shopping centers and f malls in the united states and canada and here in great britain. the video specifically names the mall of america in minneapolis. it begins with the focus on the group's 2013 terror attack at the westgate mall in nairobi. it is a documentary-style video more than an hour long, focusing really on kenyan forces and their intervention into somalia, and essentially what they're saying is if militants can attack a mall in nairobi, others can attack targets elsewhere. al-shabab in the past has been considered a local or regional threat. this is thought the first time there has been a direct threat against the united states. u.s. law officials hav
