the looking really good. allentown, 84. wilmington, 83. trenton, 82. cooler along the beach. but a pretty nice beach day. cape may and the boardwalk and atlantic city degrees. june 1st kicks off hurricane season and tropical satellite showing that it's relatively quiet right now. however, that is likely to change over the next several months. if you look at the hurricane forecast from really the top three forecasters, colorado state, accuweather, and noahz, all showing about the same thing. average or slightly above average hurricane season, accuweather calling for 14 named storms, 8 hurricanes 4 reaching hurricane 3 status or higher. this is a big change from the past three years. and the reason why we have a la niÑa developing. the opposite of last year. low temperatures in the ecuadorial pacific. and what this does is it actually decreases wind shear so that will allow storms to develop. more active in the past three years. it looks like that season likely will continue to be active right into november. so back at home, not too active the next two days. loads of sunshine, 83 tomorrow. thursday, partly sunny, 79. on friday, that's when that cold

. >> the shore communities from atlantic city to the beaches in delaware as well on stormtracker 6 live double scan all aglow in many different colors we are dealing with severe weather in cape may county and a sliver from sea isle city and extreme thunderstorm warning until 4:30 p.m. winds gusting to near 70 miles per hour with these storms. as we take a close look, the first initial storm is over the open waters east of the sea isle city. and the second storm is beginning to fall apart after a gush of wind. winds near 80 miles per hour in cape may. wildwood and cape may and stone harbor and sea isle city, all dealing with a tremendous amount of lightning and 326 over the last 15 minutes. you can see the back edge of that storm moving over the open waters of the delaware bay and that continues to push to the east. we have a second severe storm farther to the north and this is for parts of northern ocean county and parts of monmouth county, 65 miles per hour winds including lakehurst and toms river and the northern parts of long beach island. look agent lakewood, this moving to the east
