i mentioned high temperatures and also the strong winds have been fueling the wildfires across several australia states over the weekend. they ended up destroying houses, threatening some community. emergency services had to issue warnings in new south wales and victoria. firefighters had to battle more than 40 fires. the flip side of the whole thing, even though a lot of property was damage, as far as we know, no injuries and no casualties. that's pretty significant to report. now, you notice the clouds rolling through sydney. that's attached to a low that's pushing this front through the area. yes, it's going to bring some rain and a little bit of cooling. it is more of the scattered variety. it's not going to be a sustained rain pattern. it's going to be a bit of an issue when it comes to battling the wildfires. hopefully these showers will help the firefighters in tampering off those fires. in the process, high pressure is trying to pick up more steam over toward the north. that's going to keep the weather relatively dry. as you look at the forecast for east asia, we have high pressure that'
