we're seeing winds calming down in the north bay as well as the south bay. ind event was mostly for the upper elevations but we did not see a lot of that mixing down into some of our valleys. here we are at 10:30, seeing some breezy winds coming through the delta as well as oakland in to san francisco but by this afternoon we're seeing a calm wind going into the rest of the day. as we look at our trick-or-treat forecast for the inland areas tomorrow looks good. although there will be a few drifts of smoke, the air quality will still be good enough for you to get out there for a little while with the kids, enjoy the all clear skies and also temperatures that will be mild to start, upper 60s, dropping back to about 60 degrees at 8:00. as we go into the rest of the forecast we are looking at this storm system, all the gusty winds moving away, high pressure for the next several days, and we're going to see our winds still blowing off the coast, which will keep our air quality fairly good once again with the kincade fire still burning in the north bay, going into

( darya ) we have team rrow coverage on the possible pg&e could see the power shutoff at midnight. sara? 40-thousand pg and e customers here in contra costa county will experience this power outage if the power company does in fact decide to shut off power.take a look at the map of the east bay and where pg and e is monitoring current weather conditions that could cause a public safety power shutoff event. others parts of the east bay impacted include alameda county.pg and e anticipates the shutoff would begin four wednesday morning and last through thursday mid day.the possible shutoff is due to severe dry wind event seen in the east bay creating high fire danger. pg&e has already started calling customers warning people that once the power is to be turned back on ... it could take some time because each power line must be inspected first".

we're only going to see those mid 80s for the inland east bay, as well as the south bay, and up to the north bay. so our inland areas will still have some very warm temperatures, but we are starting to get just enough of an ocean breeze to cool it o for the coast as well as the bay. starting tomorrow, our fire danger increases, mainly because we'll have a shift in the wind and we could see some gusts up to 55 miles per hour. we haven't yet had this combination where we have really high winds and then critically low humidity and that also matches up with a lot of dry fuels out there. so we have this dry descending air and low humidity that will combine starting tomorrow morning and continue through thursday, and that's the reason why we have the red flag warning in effect for all of the areas shaded in red. we'll be watching also for the potential that the power could be shut off in some of those areas and we are going to have a cooldown that continues for the rest of the week and also continuing through the weekend. >>> mike, you're tracking more delays on highway 101. >> part of the c

, and the east bay. e likely to be in the dark as well. up until tuesday, it's possible. let's get right to today in the bay's pete ceratos live in castro valley to break down more what is going on and what people should know. hey there, pete. >> good morning, kira. hundreds of thousands of pg&e customers could bim by the potential power shutoffs including folks here in castro valley where we're standing. we will see how things turn out and if the potential shutoff does take place. i want to show viewers the map. i think we just showed you, the power map from pg&e, and pg&e says roughly 850,000 customers could be potentially impacted. now, the point of these shutoffs are to prevent the catastrophic wildfires that we have seen in the past. in the past couple of years. now, pg&e is calling this weekend an historic wind event. and depending on where you live, guy, wind gusts may range from 45 to up to 70 miles an hour. and marin county, more than 80,000 customers could be impacted. and right here in almeda c
