orange for the north bay, valleys of the east bay and the santa clara valley. not as bad around the coast and central and south bay. around the water is where it mixes around ground level and helps us out. it'll be a while before we're talking about good air quality in any portion of the bay area. outside right now, it's just surreal. it looks like mars, one of saturn's moons. it looks like this because the stuff in their atmosphere filters out the sunlight. there are the lights over oracle park right there. 59 degrees downtown, mostly in the 60s. we anticipateed the smoke overhead to tay, but the depth has thrown a wrench into things. look at the temperatures compared to yesterday. we're talking 20 to 30 degrees cooler for a lot of locations except around the water we're not going to drop off that much throughout the rest of the night. the blanket of smoke acts like a blanket. upper 50s and low 60s. temperatures tomorrow will be below average. i think the smoke will thin a little and allow the sun to come through. we'll zoom around and show you the highs. low
