let's head to the north bay. mt. uring over two inches of rain there and for the east bay, it was in tilden park over an inch of rain, ukiah close to an inch, a little over three-quarters, and san francisco getting close to a half inch of rain, redwood city a quarter inch coming down so we'll add up a little bit more but a lot of the models showing that by noon, 1:00, we're seeing pretty much a lot of sunshine for today, and going into this afternoon it's still going to be a cool one, you'll notice how much cooler compared to yesterday and we'll have a slight chance of rain for tomorrow, some hit-or-miss showers and we've seen quite a bit of snow for the sierra for today. when we think back to about a week ago we were only at about 40% of our normal amount of snowpack and with all of the snow that we had this past week and more coming down, now we're at 73% of our normal amount of snow in the central sierra, so it's been a really big boost, and we could see another few inches of snow on the way for parts of the centra

as far as the bay area goes a little bit drier the further north in the bay are talking marine sonoma napa counties looking pretty good actually the peninsula in the midst of a couple of scattered misty areas and then the east bay is one of those spots where we actually have seen a line of showers making its way through now the very northern tier of this line of showers is about to cross over towards rio vista here within the next 30 minutes stretches down along highway 4 just west of antioch right now so if you're in antioch oakley brentwood do expect rainfall some light showers mostly to be pushing back in here in just a few san ramon south into the tri valley in the midst of some lighter shower activity so no great still in the midst of it to and from fremont south of the san jose and eventually down into the santa cruz mountains where we're seeing the bulk of the bay area rainfall right now highway 17 very slick as you're winding across the summit there. take extra slow because we are looking at some spots where there's a lot of standing water on roadways. that's the same along 85

we can see the rain over parts of the north bay, pushing into the south bay by about 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning, and then the rest of the day is looking pretty good, so if you're making plans to get out this weekend, watch out for early morning showers. our next round of rain after that comes in early on monday morning. so taking a look at how much rain we'll see, not a whole lot here, maybe another 0.1" of rain over the next couple of days. as we go into valentine's day, it's looking dry but once again we'll start out monday morning with another round of some scattered showers coming through. >>> mike, the morning commute weather wise is looking good. what's happening out on the roads? >> it's looking pretty good but weather wise there are a couple of things to report. we'll take you out to the maps, over in the east bay, in alameda county, oakland, a couple of those yellow diamonds, those are minor flooding reported. the biggest report comes in for a few lanes off telegraph and 24. walnut creek the outer drainage, and the fire reported near the dublin interchange south 680 at 580,

>>i was taking the bay bridge that's what you're looking at right now heading in from the east bay and as soon as you hit the middle of the bridge. there's a lot of dense fog so it's very difficult to not seen any accidents happening on the bridge currently, but we did have one that happened overnight. there are also some spinouts i'm seeing out there on the roadways today. so you just want to be cautious right now your commute into the city from the east bay is under 12 minutes for your drive time. let's go ahead and get a look at the san mateo bridge you can see just how slick and wet. the bridge is here cars are making their way across to the peninsula again no reports. many accidents still a very slick commute. as you are hitting the roadways. this morning also let's head over to the golden gate bridge and get a look at your commute here as you're heading into the city. another very slick and wet commute also very foggy as you are driving into the city here. so just take your time and a look at the richmond sandra fell bridge under 10 minutes for your drive time as you head out of

there are scattered incidents around the bay, the south bay should be clearing major freeways and no r issues as far as slowing except for a little slowing for west around 80 around central you see that over out of richmond. i've circled the incident in the san francisco area westbound 80 at freemont. there was a little slowing. look at the span itself. a disabled vehicle or maybe a minor crash just as you exit the freeway on the san francisco side just cleared in the last few minutes and you see how light the othe span. what i was4:32. controversy over vaccine distribution swirling around the san francisco-based one medical. the health care provider accused of administering vaccinations to its members who are not eligible. the department of public health says not only is it not giving more doses to the company but also taking back hundreds more. no delays out of san francisco via the bay bridge. the san mateo bridge is pretty quiet. >>> we have some breaking news in san jose. police are investigating a shooting that left one with life threatening injuries. that happened just after 11:00 last night on the 200 block of paula avenue. one person was taken in an ambulance. there is no word on their condition. police have spent the last hours combing the scene for evidence. that happened across from foot hill high school. we'll let you know what police find. back to you. >>> to the coronavirus, the winter storm playing out in much of the country is continuing to take its toll on vaccine distribution in the bay area. the california department of public health is reporting delays throughout the state. residents in san mateo were able to get their vaccine yesterday but the concern is what will happen next week. san mateo says it is waiting on more than 14,000 moderna doses and there is no word on when the shipment will arrive. marin says 300 appointments were canceled yesterday due to

let's head to the east bay. we'll see our temperatures for the middle of the day reaching into the upper 60s. we'll come down just a few degrees compared to yesterday but it's still going to be above average as we are going to reach into the low 70s and the south bay up to 72 in martinez in oakland and 70 today in rosa. our winds will really start to pick up. that's the other thing i'm shaded in yellow, that's where we have a wind advisory that goes into effect at 10:00 this morning, it continues through 10:00 this evening and some of those mountains gusts may reach 65 miles per hour. nice to see all of the greenery out there across the bay area but due to the lack of rain and those high winds, we could see things turning brown once again, all of the vegetation really drying out as high pressure blocks our chances of getting any rain here. as we go through this seven-day forecast, it will be windy and warm today. and as we go through slightly cooler air on saturday, we'll have another event with high winds and th

into the east bay. look at the time, this is all before sunrise, moving through fairly quickly and clearing for the rest of tomorrow, with some sunshine for the afternoon. so if you have some plans to get out there, it's going to be cool, but at least the rain will be clearing out. we're looking at rainfall totals, this is not enough, up to anywhere from 0.1 to 0.25" for my yard and we need a lot more rain because we are still in an extreme drought across parts of the north bay. this is a look at the statewide view of the drought situation, and the recent rain the atmospheric river that we had last month has still really helped parts of the central coast down to southern california but it remains unchanged in the bay area and we do still have severe drought conditions moving over toward the tri-valley, as well as much of the north bay, and then for san jose over to san francisco, we have a moderate drought ongoing, as we are only looking at some slight rain chances and some very light rain here in the fo
