the bay area's covid vaccine efforts. our feeling the impact of this storm believe it or not a mass vaccination sites and just city college in fact was forced to shut down yesterday because of the rain at least 250 appointments had to be rescheduled. the vaccination site is expected to reopen by friday. the moscow knee center is set to become the second mass vaccination site in san francisco with a 3rd high volume site to open later in the bayview mayor london breed made that announcement on twitter saying the moscone center alone will have the capacity for at least 5,000 doses per day once the city receives that supply san francisco mayor breed though says that a lack of covid-19 vaccines is hurting the city's effort to protect thousands from the virus. the initial plan was to vaccinate at least 10,000 people a day but with vaccines in high demand and short supply it's really unknown at this point when the city be able to recycle so far san francisco has received a 144,000 doses with nearly 60% of those already distribute

next round including the first real threat of mudslides in the bay area burn zones but first meteorologist paul heggen is tracking the storm for us. >> less than 24 hours from the rain first arriving in the bay area. this will be the most substantial storm system we have seen so far this winter in terms of the rain and wind threats primarily but of course the flooding threat goes hand- in-hand with the rain threat with so many wildfire burn scars left over after last summer and last fall. we could hear some rumbles of thunder, that will not be the primary reason of concern. tomorrow afternoon, showers moving in with the heaviest rain really lining up as we head into late tuesday evening and tuesday night. it will continue off and on wednesday and thursday, we stopped the clock thursday morning and you can see we are talking about two or 3 inches of rain widespread across the bay area. some of the higher terrains, rainfall forecast approaching 6 inches and that is too much in a short amount of time. we need the rain but we don't need it all at once. that is why we have the flash flood watch

>>the bay area's icu bed capacity is expected to keep improving this is based on projections for the ut out by the governor's office, the bay area icu capacity expected to jump to 25% to the next 4 weeks. that's a big jump from the 6 and a half percent availability that was reported by the state on friday, san joaquin valley and southern california regions are also expecting a significant jump in icu bed availability compared to the 0% availability they have been seen. this four-week projection is what prompted the state to lift the stay at home order today. you may recall san francisco is one of the counties that chose to institute the most recent stay at home order even before the state of california required it. and now the city along with other counties in the region are set to begin a gradual reopening starting thursday a lot of people happy about that news but what will that look like well kron four's dan kerman live at city hall tonight with the latest answer dan. >>well it's going to look a little bit different county to county here in san francisco we're going to see a lot of
