air quality was okay around the bay area today. we have yellow dots at the southern end of the bay and around the santa clara valley. these might be lingering effects of fire word smoke , specifically around the spots that had moderate air quality today. but everybody should be in the green thursday, friday and into saturday. if you are anxious for a return to more typical summertime temperatures, you do not have to wait too long. the outlook shows the trend getting closer to the bay area . pass the middle of the month it looks like a weak signal towards above normal temperatures returning to much of california. it is speculative but it looks like it might actually feel like july when we get to that point in the season. looking down towards pier 39, the camera is shaking around too much. 60s around the bay. mostly 70s and low 80s. nice weather for fourth of july. we will see the fog spreading inland late tonight after the fireworks displays are done. clear skies overhead for the evening hours before the fog takes over later tonight.
