slow and go out of the east bay into the city, and the good news, there was a fog advisory in effect for the bay bridge, and that's been lifted, and things are okay into san od re semore volume. slow on the westbound side, headed over to 101, and the taillights making the trek into the city. 880 to the san mateo bridge, there's brake lights in the area we see slowing. southbound 880, coming away from the 238 connector, southbound to hayward, and speeds get sluggish there. down to 38 miles an hour in spots. slow off the 238 connector. the drive time steady for the commute on 580, the bulk of the delays around mount house on 205, over to at least grant line. that's the slowest speeds this morning. better past there, and slight delays through the livermore valley. better for 680 and the dublin interchange. chp is working on a delay on the peninsula, a couple of cars tangled up here. the middle lane is blocked. activity to the right shoulder as well. that's your morning drive, and let's look at teerures, all about the microclimates, here's mary. >>> that's right, gianna. a cooler time at the coast, and hea

across the bay to get either the east bay or san francisco you can see that once you head above bridge level. that's where you've got the cloud cover so it's not interfering with visibility on most of our bridges if you head to the coast and that's where we do have some low visibility in half moon bay at times later today in santa rosa and other hot spots in the north bay. most of that cloud cover just that sitting right above the bay, some low clouds that will be pushing into the east bay a lot like yesterday and timing of it burning off also similar to yesterday mostly between 10:11am that's when you get your window of sunshine right across the bay itself. 50's and 60's for your current temperatures if you're inland go ahead get those windows wide open. let the cool air in before yet another hot afternoon just around the corner. daytime highs are going to be climbing. well back into the 90's for inland spots with 60's 70's along the coast in the bay. james all right john, thank you now let's get to the latest on the coronavirus pandemic one day after governor newsom gave his warning

the south bay, is that still going on? >> it is, kari. but we also have one over in the east bay and the metering lights were turned on early at the bay bridgealmost 15 minutes early. let's talk about that first. the live look shows you the backup is moving. what happened is that there was a fender bender near the toll plaza. seeing that in the report and chp controlled those metering lights for precautionary and thinking there was an issue. the map is circled at the top there, but everything outside of the toll plaza is just finebrid. that's the sabout. north 101 is jammed up because of the crash on the southbound side and we have two tow trucks. waiting for two tow trucks to clear the vehicle. no major injuries reported but a major distraction for the northbound side. the slowing continues from 680 despite the lighter volume over the last 20 minutes. your alternate, you can get over to 280 and get over to northbound 87 to get past the scene. folks who are familiar with the traditional commute previous years suggesting 87 as an alt alternate and it is for the rest of silicon valley. back to you. >> all right, sounds good. thanks so much, mi

the fog has rolled back from the city, but we're still seeing it across the bay and hovering right over the golden gate bridge. that gives us that iconic view this morning. it's also going to provide some cooling even for the inland areas, even though it's starting out sunny in the south bay. we are going to get a bit of a breeze as we check out willow glen and our temperature trend will be in the low 60s to start and we'll see a mostly sunny sky. we'll reach into the low 80s by early in the afternoon and eventually see our high temperature reach about 84 degrees but there will still be some areas in the inland east bay that won't get much of that cooling from that fog but an improvement over yesterday. up to 90 in antioch today and 86 in napa and san francisco stays in the 60s today. look at that seven-day forecast. it's already up at the bottom of the screen. we'reo the north as that storm system comes by, it will bring in a stronger ocean breeze. it will help cool us off starting out tomorrow and continue through saturday. but then high pressure starts to come back in and it's going to heat us up from sund

what about the bay bridge toll plaza? >> it is picking up a little bit we will show you that in a minute. you can see traffic on the richmond bridge looks pretty good. we have a couple of things to show you . there have been no major issues here at the richmond bridge toll plaza. you can see traffic here is moving along very nicely. on the eastshore freeway it is crowded, but not stop and go. steve asked about the bay bridge toll plaza. it is getting more crowded heading to san francisco. let's go back to the headlines. >>> we start this hour with developing news out of san jose where one person has died after a fight. police confirmed to us that four people were stabbed at a 7-eleven on sixth street just before 1:00 this morning. there is still a scene and investigators continue to search for evidence there. when police arrived they say they found two males at the store with stab wounds. they were taken to the hospital where one of them died. the other two victims drove themselves for treatment. investigators are still lo
