the bay bridge, the bay bridge along the dunbar bridge. it's about a 13 minute ride across the worst peninsula heading into the city. it's up to 17 minutes here because more people are taking the bay bridge 5, 1880, a pretty slow and delayed about 26 minutes as you're traveling down from crockett to the maze. the richmond sandra fell commute a little under 15 minutes for your drive times. so things are picking up there and heading to the south bay to check on things here about 41 minutes because we had earlier accidents and some hazards and things like that from earlier in the morning. we'll have more on that throughout the morning. but darya and james, back to you. all right, thank you very to one is the time we have some new information here regarding the dixie fire looks plain these images here in a moment. but. >> right off the bat. want to let you know that the fire has grown in size the new update this morning is that it's now 501,000 acres in size. so more than half a million acres burned. so far. there is some good news containment

, live look at the bay bridge. metering lights and things moving smoothly into san francisco and the quick live look here at the san mateo bridge. 12 minutes between 880 and 101. >>> this morning smoke is blanketing the lake tahoe region as fire crews work to prevent flames from the caldor fire from causing more destruction. crews are working hard to make sure that some families who have been evacuated can return to their homes. in order to stop the fire in its tracks they are doing back burning, starting new fires, when the caldor fire reaches back burned areas, it won't spread any far. >> without these back burns, the uncontrolled fire line will be able to burn into those houses. are you not able to tell the difference between the back burns and the active wildfire on any of our wildfire mapping systems. yes this fire is actively growing in areas. not all of that growth is the wildfire. >> right now the fire stands at close to 123,000 acres. it's just 11% contained. nearly 650 structures have been destroyed. anoth
