mike, what's the update at the bay bridge? >> kari, first i want folks to look at the screen, this is dust and steam from a crash, this vehicle and another in the trees involved in the crash. look at this person running, oh, one car, two cars, almost one there, lots of near misses for this person. now when you get to the scene, emergency personnel will tell to you stay by the vehicle because of visibility and then of course that smoke and the steam and the dust. now the good news is that person made it to the parking lot all right and as we look at the live situation over there, all these lanes have filled in and all the activity is pretty much cleared from lanes but we still have three other injuries reported for that crash so we're tracking that. the backup at the toll plaza though is back to about standard what you'd expect. the guys after that crash at the bay bridge made very quick work of that, ambulance and paramedics on the scene as well been we thank all of our emergency responders and that commute is pretty calm. back

we are going to go to sue hall because there is a major problem affecting the bay bridge. sue hall: unfortunately, you are starting off your friday morning with a fatal accident. you can see the backup. the hob commute lane is completely shut down from westbound 80 into the bay bridge. there is a lot of police activity. a pedestrian was hit. the corner will have to be on the scene. this will be quite some time. you past up past the rest fact that past golden gate field. it is bumper-to-bumper and pretty much stopped all the way in. you may want to take part to avoid this. otherwise, you will have to slog it out. you can see traffic is light at the toll plaza but you will find brake lights on the western part of the span coming to the city. drew: we are looking at the visibility this morning. we do have thick fog along the coast into north bay. up to half a mile visibility. the marine layer, cooler morning inland. your feeling the heat relief. outside, a beautiful picture. that fog will burn off quickly. it is a warmer afternoon compared to yesterday. we will show you the we
