now, certain women who have a lot of experience from the bayview came to me and explained to me one of the meetings that was mentioned by the director here under the auspices of the san francisco health department. now, i think the san francisco county transportation authority should have a detailed orientation on what really is happening in the bayview. and it's not as simple as you think when you talk about safe routes. our young people have to cross four or five [speaker not understood] going to school, another four or five [speaker not understood] getting back. and the san francisco county transportation authority purports to know everything. but in the last nine months we have bus routes, like the 44, that cannot even go to certain destinations. they just stop below the hill and our students and our youth [speaker not understood]. when people come to me, then i have to work with the community response network and i have to work with volunteers who escort our young people and our seniors. now, i would want those people who are having these meetings at the ymca to have these meeting

at the bayview ymca which is located at 1601 lane street. e san francisco transportation plan, which as you know is our long-range planning document for favors thaition in the city 30erctiontion -- 30-year document under development. and as you know, we had an online survey the last month and a half or so that provided essentially a budget gain for people to provide their input on how to prioritize the over $3 billion in discretionary funds that will be available over the life of the plan for transportation priorities in the city. we have tremendous -- response of over 600 people took part in the game online and provided the detailed answers. those, of course, are going to be used in the process of refining the list of projects and programs that will be proposed for the next stages of the plan. also in response to agency comments, we have integrated pedestrian bicycle and travel management programs into the performance evaluation so that we have more complete picture. the results along with input received in the course of the public outreach

my name is robert davidson, i live in the bayview, 90 21 4. i'm here for [speaker not understood]. one is an emergency demolition order that was signed on august 7th for some properties on the corner of thornton and 3rd street in the bayview. properties are still there and i understand that the department is working on them. but we'd like to get the buildings knocked down. second item is 48 01 3rd street. there is a long history about this building. and there was a director's hearing hosted for 11-6 and apparently that has been postponed till january. and i was hoping to get that back into everybody's radar. and then we would like to get some information about open director's meetings and open hearing. this is a violation. we'd also like to get a little information about the q-matic software and an update on 18 81 oakdale. that was the house that caught fire in march this year. and apparently the house has been sold. i was just hoping that the dbi will help the new owners get their permits, get the building knocked down, get it all going. we'd like to see that building knocked down

been involved in. we have renovated 16 libraries, and we have built 6 new ones. the 23rd is in the bayview in my neighborhood and that will be ready for groundbreaking in january and for completion and opening in january and now we're groundbreaking on this project. as part of this project, you will be getting a two-story library. it will be designed for led silver or greater and sustainable and as opposed to the old library it will be ready for the big one, seismically fit. something mayor lee has put forth in his leadership as mayor is that it will bring a lot of jobs and this library will be the first library to undergo the new local hiring law, meaning that 25% of san franciscans will be working on this project. big hand for mayor lee and the board of supervisors for their leadership u. so far we have identified locations at the bayview y, the mission neighborhood health center, coleman and outreaching to a few other communities to identify locations and getting the word out as well. the next sort of action item that we want to do is make sure that we're expanding our credit recovery options. because of the budget cuts that i referred to earlier, while we increased our graduation requirements, we also had to cut centralized evening school and centralized summer school. if we had not had the support of the city two years ago when these students were 9th graders and the foresight to say we're going to target in some dollars to offer summer school, those numbers that you see in the dark and light green would be vastly different. we had a thousand students who are current 11th graders take advantage of summer school when they were 9th graders and then we rolled it off and the city supported us again last summer. so when those students were 10th graders and the other 9th grade class received summer school and we're thrilled that the city is again supporting us, so we'll h
