i've lived in the bayview for 12 years now. i oppose the current plan. i would like to bring up three questions/points regarding the development. first, when you go down evans and around where it turns into inez, and look up, what you will soon see is a monstrosity, an eye sore of nearly 20 floors that does not fit the neighborhood. has anyone considered this? second, the city should consider alternate tiff designs. there really instead should be a much shorter development. four stories, a gradation down to three stories, down to two, and then one. third, as you look down inez, all that public housing on the hill on the right will be blocked from its current views of the bay and the city. the value of the city's land comprising the public housing will be severely impacted. why is the city allowing the land to be devalued by the developer? why isn't the developer being required to pay the city and the bnya. the bnya has these rights and uses them for business. the developer because compensate both for the usurpation of these rights. finally, i would like

india basin is located in the bayview-hunters point community. it's skbrust northwest of the hunters point shipyard and north of hunters point hill. the entirety of the the project consists of 38 acres and can be further divided into two components. as you see on the diagram before you, the northwest half or i should say the third of the site is proposed to be developed by rec and park. it consists of the existing india basin shoreline park and also the newly acquired site at 900 innes. 900 innes is most known as the site for the historic ship wrecks cottage. referred to as 700 innes, it consists of another r.p.d. project that we refer to as india basin open space, and then 700 innes itself, which is approximately 17 acres of privately owned parcels, and then also unimproved public works right-of-way. so if we zoom out a little bit to put this in a little bit of a context, this project is being envisioned as part of a series of open spaces within the india basin neighborhood, including the existing improved and new open space starting with heron's

the third street corridor in the bayview community is at an exciting point. we are attracting businesses. no longer are we plagued with the over proliveration of vacant storefronts. we are starting to turn the corner and get businesses on this local corridor, and that is quite honestly through a concerted effort and recruitment by many of the merchants already on the ground and looking to expand. in order to achieve the balance that will allow our existing community to grow and to thrive in place, of course, paying careful attention not to exacerbate the pressures of displacement as well as gentrification, there are a proposal that i'd like you to consider for your -- for your vote. what i'm doing is i'm proposing the following mix of affordable housing levels. first of all, i'm proposing a 55% a.m. i. that's 5% b.m.r., which translates into 64 units. there's a -- the second band is between 80 and 1:20 a.m.i. that is -- 120 a.m.i. so in total, 28% of b.m.r. units will be dedicated to this particular project. i'm happy to discuss the in lieu fee. right now, spe

if you walk down 3rd street or in the bayview and you ask 100 people in the bayview if they know ms. princess, 99 of them would say, she's touched their life in one way or another. ms. princess is an inspiration to everyone around her. myself at the top of the list. when people ask, what does miss princess do at school? you don't know how to respond. to say she's a special education educator, tip of the iceberg. that's what she does between 8:30 and 1:30, but she works before school and after school as part of our beacon program. in fact, she's often the first car in the parking lot when the gates open and the last car out at the end of the night. she's the head of our dance team, she runs picture day, and i'm pretty sure she has more mentees than anyone in the history of the school if you ask the faculty, parents, community members, almost all of us would say that we consider her one of our mentors and somebody very valuable in our lives. she's crucial in our staff retention plan. we've coined the "ms. princess plan." if we can get her engaged with our newer teachers, it's part of 0
