i was sitting down on the beach kind of hard to see because of the fog. we did to get one photograph of it sort of from a distance and the highway patrol had to close traffic down to one lane. so the emergency crews could come in and rescue that driver of the vehicle. and currently they're working on trying to come up with a plan to get the vehicle up off of the beach to the highway patrol is investigating this. but they say early indications are that speed was most likely a factor. he was that the driver was most likely exiting the tom lantos tunnel headed south. and there's a curve there to the left and he was going too fast for the conditions >> unsafe speed was a factor in this collision, possibly driving a little bit too fast. the vehicle was entering a curve portion of the roadway at the time of the collision, there was no fault or minimal haziness in the area. as you can see, the fog has now overtaken this area. so, yes, we need everyone to be cautious anytime they're driving through this area and pay attention to the road to especially under adver
