the board has been put into a difficult situation. there are a lot of differences of opinion on how to run the city, how to mass make a decision, who should be in place, 11 people to agree on that is a challenging thing. i think we have done the best we can do in the process, considering the difference of opinions. >> the people of san francisco can now choose their mayor, the direction they want to go. that is why this decision was so appropriate. >> the other big shock is that the moderates seem to have won this round. people thought, progressives have themselves on the board. there is no reason that they will not get together and take a noted leader who is a progressive to be interim mayor, and then stayed there for another term. the great thing about being in term mayor is to get to run as an incumbent. the fact that the progressives could not get together to get somebody into office as interim mayor in their own self-interest was very surprising for a lot of us. >> what happened in the last month in city hall was an incredible sho

members of the board of supervisors. it would in franchise as many of our individual electors as possible in the decision making. >> this vote we will be taking is without question the most important vote we will cast as members of the board of supervisors. >> alioto-pier, there are 11 ayes. this motion is approved as amended. >> there was a lot of ambiguity run the process. to have the board to settle on a process felt really good, that we had to tackle that part of it. >> if you are a supervisor, you cannot vote for yourself. if you are nominated for that office, you cannot participate in the discussions, so you have to leave the room. you cannot text people, you cannot get on facebook. you can watch the process in your office, but you cannot let anyone know what your thinking or doing. the most you can say is i accept the nomination, and then leave. if you do not accept the nomination, and you can participate, and then you will be out of the process for consideration. >> with the process agreed upon, board member chris

at the full board, or three ordinances. the first is the final reading of the development impact sponsored by the marylandthere r you heard the ordinance on december 16th. there are changes recommended by the mayor's office of housing and the comptroller's office. among these changes were the recommendation of an unclassified section that would allow this year's adjustment of all of the fees for inflation. otherwise we would miss our first step to adjust for inflation. that would happen within 30 days of the effective date of the ordinance. the board made final the ordinance by passing it on its last reading. also before the full board on tuesday was a proposed ordinance to make corrections to the plan which would amend the zoning map to reflect the actions of this commission way back when you adopted the plan in 2007. after this action by the commission, the board and land use committee made some amendments to the octavia ordinance and at some point after the transmittal of the recommendation to the board and final action b
