and i think the workforce c.a.c. really weighed in to push our agencies and the city departments to really go deeper in some ways at 1.8% unemployment which is what we saw as of september. the work really begins because black and brown communities, two to three times higher. the public housing community, those with housing challenges, it's really to take the jobs that are on the table to address the racial, genders, socioeconomic and all the problems that we see. so in some way, having opportunities for all, which has been a topic of all the last couple of meetings -- ensuring that all 22,000 high school students should have access to a paid internship last summer, it speaks to how all the departments work together to partner this that. a partnership between our offices and the office agency -- but civil service required that they have a college degree to go make the next step up in city employment. so our office put resources in in collaboration with human services agency for those men and women to do their college e

there was a recommendation made by the c.a.c. to condition these funds on an equitiable distribution of these energyizer stations around the city, and we have been working with the bicycle coalition to come up with a rhendation of what that looks like. at a minimum, that would be something that the bike coalition will do. i would also point out that we had staff of the coalition, raul young, who's here today, can certainly speak to how sfbc provides an equitiable distribution of the day events as well as the distribution of planning for the day of the event. next request is for bicycle outreach and partnering. we have been funding this for several years and we will be continuing to do so with the allocation. safer streets allocation. this is for another ten months of the work that we do to oversee the safe routes to psychologicals program. the program was transited this year, so we are continuing to support that programs. the next request is at the request of supervisor vallie brown for her district; to come up request recommenda

the c.a.c. will get the same presentation you're getting today. there is also a public workshop on october 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 in our offices if you want to get a little bit more into the weeds on the transportation measure. moving on to local issues, i wanted to welcome back commissioner haney and walton. the challenge offered by mayor breed and officials from several other cities around the country that are interested in arranging a debrief and a presentation to the board. there is nothing like seeing the tour. that tour also included a focus on equity and affordability packages, what it took to build coalitions to make it work and some of the pitfalls. promises that happens with the pricing programs in those two countries. it has been on a different note a busy season for submitting grant applications, and the transportation authority has been submitting applications that would further our programs. we have a fund that would fund potential user -- submit an application for a san francisco pricing and incentive demonstration pilot. this would b
