we are going to have to add some breakthroughs in the debate with the california high speed rail authority, bringing in high- speed rail service into san francisco. as you know, there has been some controversy on that topic. we are leading a coordination group that has met for several nights now and has come up with five potentially feasible engineering alternatives that addressed the city's main concern which is not having to depress 16th street at the caltrain tracks because of the negative community separation that that kind of design would have. the group has come up with five alternatives that are now being proposed to the high speed rail authority, and will be analyzed at the technical level. we are hoping the most promising of those bids advances into the environmental document which is to be released in december. tomorrow we are hosting another meeting of the working group. of course, the city department with jurisdiction over this will be involved. that will be followed up next week with a meeting with the high-speed rail authority. we will keep you updated on that. on local issue
