let's take a look at the vote tally as it is right now in colorado. with 46% of the vote and santorum in the lead. 901 votes ahead of mitt romney. 31% to 30%. and ron paul in fourth with 13%. a lot to talk about in the hour ahead. we'll check in with santorum headquarters and the other camps as well. we'll hear from the candidate, from rick santorum himself. we'll talk to our panel about how much this changes the landscape and how significant a win for santorum or a close finish to romney in second place would mean for the former senator. let's take a look right now at some of the highlights from the candidate speeches from earlier tonight. >> conservatism is alive and well in missouri and minnesota! your votes today were not just heard loud and wide across the state of missouri and minnesota, but they were heard loud and louder all across this country. and particularly in a place that i suspect maybe in massachusetts they were heard particularly loud tonight. >> this was a good night for rick santorum. i want to congratulate senator santorum. wish him

the expected vote. predicted vote in colorado. e basically 47%, 4% of the precincts in z.right now, it's neck and neck. continuing to change by the second. and there is a flip flop right there. we're monitoring this. 20% of the expected vote in and werk get a raw vote total any moment. that is what we're watching. i guess what i -- are you hearing from romney campaign. we heard the former governor saying we can being up in one or two. there is concern within the ranks that they could finish second. >> yes. absolutely. we were surprised to hear that as well can w.this expectation from many, including some we saw on the polling that romney would come out front. and best santorum could hope for was a strong second. there is a indication it's a small thing but i think it says a lot. romney didn't draw a big crowd tonight there. was 150 people campaign not exactly thrilled about that turn out either. and there are people out in denver tonight on a personal note, we can see them out there. this isn't one of the nights people are hunkered

colorado. we're anxiously awaiting the final results in colorado. what are you hearing? >> well, you can look to my left right here, and see the party chair of the gop here in colorado and he says he has 99% of the precincts in. and he's now talking on the phone, obviously to election officials. and he's going to grab the firmfir numbers. this is ryan call, the gop chairman here in colorado. let's see what he has to say. >> sorry, hold on a second. >> can you characterize for us, i believe you have 99% of the -- >> we have 98% of the precincts reporting tonight. rick santorum has won colorado's republican poll with about 40% of the vote. we're getting the final numbers in just now. rick santorum has exceeded expectations and wins colorado's caucus called vote tonight. >> any major population centers out? >> it's about 98% of the results in. there's a handful to be reported around arapahoe and half a dozen or so up in larimer county. these won't change the outcome of tonight's results. we'll have a press conference here in a couple of moments with the actual numbers. mitt

and gingrich, 13% of the votes counted there. colorado, big lead, but only 1% of the votes in. ntorum may be riding a wave in delivering a setback for front runner mitt romney. it's still very early. a lot of drama ahead. we'll check in with wolf. >> let's go out to colorado. paul is standing by in aroura, colorado. paul, tell us what is going on right now. >> they are just wrapping up, in fact, they announced the totals, 22 precincts in this room. that bell weather county, mitt romney, 78, 28 for santorum, and 20 for pule. so a great night for mitt romney in this room, and more shots of democracy at its best. you can see them collecting some of the money here. yeah, she says we're collecting instead of spending. she's a mitt romney supporter. tonight, they had to raise the money to hold this in here. 22 precincts in all in the county. this county divided very evenly like much of colorado where you have a third republican, a third democrat, and a third independent. as i said, 78 votes here for romney tonight. more than doubled up the rest of the field, wolf. >> from aurora, colo

the caucuses. we're waiting for colorado. what are they saying about the phone call from romney to santorum, dana? >> i don't think rick santorum has checked his voice mail yet, that's the answer, because deirdre wallace asked him if he heard from mitt romney, he said emphatically, no. maybe he'll pick up the message after he goes back and sits down with his wife and soaks in the evening he's had. it's interesting, we talk about the relationship between these candidates. you know, privately, the santorum campaign has said they generally had pretty good relations when it comes to the human element of this with the romney campaign. in fact, they noted that when santorum's daughter bella was in the hospital last week or the week before with pneumonia, not only did romney call him, but he put something on his website saying he and his campaign wish her well, and that's not something privately they noded that newt gingrich did. so you have an interesting dynamic going on between all of the candidates. when it comes to big nights an

one of the first places i'd think of looking would be grand junction, colorado. lively county seat on the western edge of colorado has become a model for healthcare delivery, because the doctors here did something amazing. it's a community that's just about average in family income and in the number of people without health insurance. but the doctors here decided to take care of everybody in town and to get paid the same fee for the same treatment, whether the patient was rich or poor. sounds obvious, right? but in american medicine, that's a radical idea. unlike other rich countries, in the u.s., the various payers pay different fees to the same doctor for the same treatment. for something like treating a sore knee, the doctor gets one fee from private insurers, a different fee from medicare -- the government insurance plan for seniors -- and a different fee altogether from medicaid -- the government plan for poor people. and since medicaid is generally the lowest payer around, it probably won't surprise you to learn that many doctors never find time on their bu
