the subpoenas have gone out to several d.c. council members and to any political campaign since 2003. here is a copy of one of the subpoenas. in the campaign that may have done business with one man, and jeff thompson, whose home and offices were raided by the fbi recently. federal investigators delivered the supino stood finance directors of several council campaigns -- delivered the subpoenas. they are asking for any documents or phone records checks money orders invitations and e-mails related to thompson or any of his associates. thompson is the largest contractor with the d.c. government right now. he has reportedly donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local candidates over the years. one council member spoke recently about this latest turn in the investigation. >> anytime can figure out how to get to the bottom of things is good. >> michael brown told us during that interview that he got money from thompson, but he says the probe will show that his campaign did nothing illegal. we also reached out to council member

the d.c. health department will announce today who will get the medical marijuana permits. 10 medical marijuana cultivation centers will be set up in the city. the groups that are chosen will receive licenses in order to operate them. the centers will sell marijuana to five dispensaries in the district. those will be announced in june. also today the so-called walmart for weed is opening in d.c.. it is called wegrow and it is a one-stop shop superstore for people who grow marijuana. john gonzalez is inside the northeast shop just hours before the grand opening. a lot of curiosity about what exactly happens there. instead of a ribbon cutting they say they will plant a tree instead. nearly two years after d.c. approved medical marijuana, wegrow is opening its doors today, the first of its kind on the entire east coast. is opening coincides with the city allowing residents with certain medical conditions to purchase pot. this hydroponic super store sells the products and services you need to grow
