the eastern seaboard. we've already had showers roll through earlier on. ose of you in anne arundel county probably woke up with thunder and lightning. that passed through cape may and now near atlantic city, new jersey. we also have rain on the west side. it's been falling apart with heavier storms that did blow through northern virginia in the last couple hours but thunder and lightning passing their way on in through south central and western sections of pennsylvania. this is part of a band of rain and storms that will continue to regenerate as we head through the day. give or take the time frame, we generally got the plot midday with more showers and storms. there could be locally heavy rain producers, flash flooding a possibility. and yes of course the dangerous frequent lightning and thunder. heavy rain continues through the this evening and tonight at times. then tomorrow a warm humid day, partly sunny with scattered showers. we'll probably do it again as we head through friday. today, looking for 82 degrees. we're pulling back a little on the thrott

this is the time lapse camera from earlier today. you can see it was a cloudy afternoon, and then this evening they did see a few showers out there. that was one of the areas that did pick up some rain this evening. most of it was concentrated into carroll county, northern baltimore county, harford and cecil counties. but most of the folks in the city and south of there did stay dry until like i said that shower moved through shortly ago. so we will be dealing with some wet weather in warm temperatures this weekend. we got to a high of 87 today. it felt a little bit warmer than where we had been. still not quite to that average. typically this time of year we should be at 88 degrees. we've been feeling below average temperatures. and today no exception. by tomorrow, though, we will be reaching highs closer to 90 degrees. so getting above that average in the upper 80s. right now we're down to 70 degrees. 70 in hagerstown and 70 is the current temperature in easton. so today we did have a upper- level trough move through the area. that'
