the wind advisory is for our east bay hills and for parts of r north bay is well between areas of the napa and sonoma valley area. you can see the higher elevations and the shades of blue there on the east side there of the napa valley. meanwhile for the east bay are east bay hills and then over towards the east, we've got some a little bit farther inland. the winds here will begin to pick up as we get into the afternoon. there's a look at noontime. anywhere from 10 to 15 mph, maybe 20 for some of our breezier locations. then as we get a little bit closer to sunset, the late afternoon hours , the winds pick up a little bit more half moon bay 30 mph areas over oakland, perhaps 20 to 22. but really, it's our hills that will see the stronger winds. here's a look at tomorrow morning where the winds are coming down once again. that remaining breezy in our hills, ben loman you could see over the santa cruz mountains was still reporting winced about 30 mph the other story for most of us going to be just how much cooler we are. today. we're starting out cooler down by five degrees at sfo down

today, we got a firsthand look at the process in the east bay hills. pg&e specialists go tree by tree looking for decline and marking the ones that need to be trimmed or chopped down. they say monterey pines and oak trees are suffering the most. >> not only has it created an atmosphere for sudden oak death and insects to compromise the tree, we are seeing these dead and dying trees, but it increases the fire threat. dan: that is why pg&e inspects the tree several times a year. crews will make another round this fall. ama: marin county has taken the first step to ban single-use plastic containers and utensils. the board of supervisors approved an ordinance requiring businesses to offer compostable containers for to go food. restaurants will be required to have reusable containers and utensils. the county plans to charge coffee shops a $.25 surcharge for disposable cups. a second vote is set for may 10. dan: april is earth month and national geographic teamed with abc owned television stations in four cities across the country including us. ama: we caught
