the race begins near the embarcadero. winds its way through the city, through golden gate park and ends at ocean beach. there is a full list of road closer on our website, abc7 news.com. this morning authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fire in san francisco's inner sunset neighborhood. the fire started just after 9:00 last night in the garage, spreading to the first and second floors of a home near 15th avenue and irvin street. it took about 15 minutes to bring it under control. no one was hurt but there was concern someone may have been trapped inside. that person was later found safe. >>> the weather is helping crews battling the wildfires in southern california. >> it's one of the most dramatic starts to our season that i've seen. >> and it's going to be a busy fire seen. -- season. cal fire has already respond ed to 100 percent more fires than formal this time of the year. firefighters are still trying to get ahead of the flames in san diego county. russell hawthorne has the latest. >> reporter: the heat

the red ones. we don't like to see those. northbound 880 approaching 16th embarcadero the left lanes are blocked. emergency crews are on scene. and you can see the latest tweet from "kcbs traffic." northbound begins to slow around high street. if you are traveling southbound 880 there's another possible injury crash. this time approaching 98th. so it sounds like the off-ramp is blocked now by emergency vehicles. the main lines of the freeway no delay but you cannot access that off-ramp in the meantime so lots of different problem spots up and down the nimitz freeway. that's why that drive time is suddenly slow between 238 and the maze. if you are traveling through the altamont pass, that's seeing backups around 11th out of tracy and it's heavy through the livermore valley and the altamont pass. right about there, maybe the truck scales. and then things improve. sluggish even to vasco. at the bay bridge, they have been turning these metering lights on earlier and earlier. it must have been around 5:45 that they turned them on and everything is backed up to the overcross
