the house did pass their farm bill after fits and starts. the house takes a very different approach, because they are looking at making changes not on the farm side. there's of course farm subsidies and all these different programs, but on the food security, what folks would call welfare reform side. so the house republicans have taken a look at imposing work requirements on those folks who have receiving food stamp benefits. that is something senate republicans and senate democrats really have no interest in. so the senate is going to be taking up their version of the farm bill this week, which is a much more sort of traditional bill. these big bills, the way they're able to get them through is by creating a bipartisan prakoduct. you have the food aid programs, stamp programmed for folks in the cities, elsewhere and rural areas who need food security. that's a way you get democrat votes and republican votes traditionally and that's what the senate is sort of sticking to that traditional for mamat. >> the narrow result as far as even a victor
