google announced the closure in a blog. said google news makes no money and this new approach is not sustainable. let's go to manager it and speak to sarah morris. what is the idea behind this law? is targeting google in particular? >> it is supposed to be helping to protect the newspapers by receiving, a lot of them to receive payment for original content. the law was requested by an association of editors. the immediate crisis in spain and people are not reading newspapers and not prepared to pay for news. and so from now on, any sacraments of news like google's news will become chargeable. unlike similar laws, what is dramatic about this law is it doesn't allow the newspaper to waive the charge from google. in germany there was a law which allowed most of the major newspapers to waive receiving that payment. >> google brings a lot of visitors to a lot of websites around the world. what has been the reaction in spain to the news that the service could be shutting down? >> the government defends the law and stands by and i
