at sfo, couple of drops of rain on the lens, 40s and 50s. this afternoon a lot of sunshine. winds picking up, breezy at the coastline in through some of the mountain passes. otherwise lots of 60s in the bay and the valleys. >>> new video from hong kong shows some passengers being carried off a flight from san francisco on the way to the hospital. severe turbulence tossed passengers around causing several people to get hurt. anne makovec is at sfo this morning with what passengers are saying after this terrifying flight. >> reporter: it was a cathay pacific boeing 747 headed to hong kong from sfo. it hit turbulence over japan about 8 hours into the flight. 12 passengers and crew were injured. eight went to the hospital. a flight attendant was the most seriously hurt with a neck injury. passengers describe the plane plummetting, turning sideways and violently shaking. you can see from these photos a mess left behind in the plane, the bins flying open, luggage strewn about the aisles. we spoke with one man on board who lives in india but does business in the bay area. he says th

bay bridge, looks like it got a wipedown, not as much rain on the lens. but the middle lanes if you are driving towards the bay bridge toll plaza, a lot of splashing going on. the lanes tend to -- we tend to see that a lot some hydroplaning going on, the middle lanes approaching the pay gates. so once they turn the metering lights on and the cars have to go slower, it's not quite as dangerous. along the peninsula an accident northbound 101 approaching 3rd. still two lanes are blocked. so if you are coming up in 92, it is a little slow just in the northbound lanes. mass transit use it. bart systemwide still on time. we just checked in with them. about 30 trains all with no delay. ferries, caltrain and ace also look good. and, of course, rain here often means snow in the sierra. chains are required on 80, 88 and 50. we have been talking about all this rain. someone has been experiencing it firsthand. let's go outdoors for a look at what conditions are like right now. here's kpix 5 reporter anne makovec. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. it is raining,

people in the area told len ramirez the victim was well known in the community. len, some even called him a hero. >> reporter: that's right, elizabeth. i just spoke to a couple of people who came by here to lay flowers. they said he was a neighborhood hero. now, this off duty bouncer had apparently got into a fight with a bar patron out here on the street following a separate incident inside the bar. that off duty bouncer was stabbed and killed. according to police, this all happened at about 1:00 in the morning. according to reports a man walked into the bar carrying an attache full of knives and cleavers. he checked them at the door. later he bothered females and he was asked to leave but he left peacefully but not before collecting knives. the bouncer off duty was at the bar apparently just to visit with friends but once the man with the knives left, the bouncer ran outside to confront him. there was a struggle and the bouncer was stabbed and pronounced dead at the hospital. police say what happened next. >> at some point down the line, there was some witnesses
