i don't know about the library project. were the main library. i have an awful lot of trouble with a lot of things. i have a lot of trouble with this anyway. with regard to the open space -- my friends have been involved with the grass-roots organizations, and these have been phenomenal. there are some opportunities to participate. we have to take away the rights of the individual. a week ago monday, i sell on the sidewalk because i was left stranded by a bus driver who decided that hate crimes are appropriate. because of my damaged vehicle, i was sent away. yes, we need the open space and the garden. where does this come from? do we do this correctly? let's ask these questions. these policies -- the police wanted to tell me that would be taken away and i cannot make a citizen's arrest. where does this stop? is this the institutions or the responsibility of the government to say -- thank you very much. >> man have the overhead? sfc tv? thank you. in 2003 and 2004, i first became involved with trying to lott, when the neighbors started the discussi

on june 16, the library commission held a meeting, at which it heard library claims that an elimination of printed notices to pages regarding over dos and reserves would save $100,000 per year. the very next day, library users association made an immediate disclosure request to see what the library might have in any way of information to support that statement. we have not yet received a single scrap of paper that relates to that request, which is now well over a week old, and the library, which has been a repeat offender, with respect to sunshine rules and laws, is now appearing to do it again, so that they can protect their claims without having to substantiate them. these are claims that they not only made at the library commission but had made to the supervisors and to the budget analysts and anyone -- the mayor, for example -- who is getting the library's budget. we also on that day and on monday the 20th requested information about budget information given to the mayor for the current proposed budget, and have gotten nothing with respect to that. also, changes from the prior year,

i am here on behalf of public works with the library improvement program. in 2004, we spoke on the original resolution of necessity. the least that adding this to the playground could benefit the parks and the library expansion on both projects. since this time, the library and parks and recreation department have worked together on the locations and footprints of the new library in relation to the parks to benefit both facilities. beginning in spring 2008 we had numerous public meetings for both commissions to engage the community in every step of the design and the master planning process. this results in a safe and expanded library with compliance of the latest seismic safety codes. this will be a welcoming building that will be built with more space for books and other materials and more computers. and meeting space for the north beach community the overall result of the master plan process is a safe and unified civic space, a gathering place for the residents of north beach, including open space and a brand new library. this is an example of the city wo
